Many of us believe that all those who have oily skin can have acne, but this is not the fact. Acne can happen to anyone, even those having dry skin.
It does not matter if your skin is naturally dry or has started getting dry, there are many acne treatments which can help to manage acne if any crop up.
Choose chemical-free products over chemicals
Choose products which have natural ingredients like Mulberry Extract, Shea Butter, Aqua, Cetearyl Olivate in them, rather than choosing those which are fortified with chemicals.
In case of getting acne treatment by a doctor, let them know of any allergy or anything of that sort( in case you have ) so that they can switch the products for you.
Moisturize all the more
Regularly applying moisturizer will be very effective in warding off dryness. Moisturizers are helpful in locking the moisture in the skin for a longer period of time.
You can apply moisturizer nicely on your face ( and body, too). You can choose a moisturizer which is free form oil.
In case you have some medications which have to be applied on skin, then first apply the moisturizer and after that apply the medicine which has to be applied. This will act as a protective shield, which will help in minimizing dryness.
You can apply the lotion/ moisturizer on your body too. But, again making sure that they are free to form any oil. Also if scented things don’t suit you, just throw them away.
No more washing again and again
Too much washing of face also leads to the skin getting dry and in turn development of acne.
Many doctors recommend just washing two times a day. Facial washes or soaps don’t work for all skin types, so first check if your skin suits the face wash or does it get irritated.
In case you and love applying make up, then make sure the make remover you use is scent free and suits your skin well.
Love your skin
Love your skin. Don’t treat it very harshly.Keep this in mind that you have to be very careful in using these products. Do not scrub your skin too hard or it will lead to more acne and more dryness.
